I write, research, and teach about U.S. women's and gender history, labor history, the South, oral history, and Appalachia.
I am an assistant professor of history and southern studies at the University of Mississippi. My first book, To Live Here, You Have to Fight: How Women Led Appalachian Movements for Social Justice, will be published by University of Illinois Press in December 2018.
